Landing page ad-readiness check.

Before you send paid traffic to a page, see how fast it loads on mobile and whether your tracking is actually firing.

Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.

Powered by Google PageSpeed Insights. Takes 20 to 40 seconds. Results are cached for an hour.

  • Enter a page and run the check.

What to fix first

If Largest Contentful Paint is over 2.5 seconds, the hero image or video is usually the cause: compress it, serve it at the size it is displayed, and don't lazy-load it. If Cumulative Layout Shift is over 0.1, set width and height on images and reserve space for embeds. Fix those two and the score usually follows.

Why tags matter more than speed

A fast page with no conversion tracking still wastes money, because the ad platforms can't learn what works. Install Google Tag Manager once, put every tag inside it, and test on the thank-you page as well as the landing page. Our health check walks through the full tracking list.

FAQ

Landing page ad-readiness check: questions answered.

What does the check measure?

Google's mobile performance score and Core Web Vitals (Largest Contentful Paint, Cumulative Layout Shift and, where Google has real-user data, Interaction to Next Paint), plus whether common ad tags were seen loading: Google Tag Manager, GA4, the Google Ads tag, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag and Snap Pixel.

Why does it say a tag is "not detected" when I know it is installed?

Tags that only fire after someone accepts a cookie banner won't load during an automated test. Treat "not detected" as a prompt to check with the platform's own browser extension (Tag Assistant, Meta Pixel Helper, TikTok Pixel Helper), not as proof it is missing.

What is a good speed score?

Google treats 90 and above as good, 50 to 89 as needing work and under 50 as poor. For ads, Largest Contentful Paint under 2.5 seconds matters more than the overall score.

Does a slow page affect my ad costs?

Yes. Google uses landing page experience in Quality Score, which affects cost per click. On every platform, slower pages convert worse, so you pay more per lead.

How is this different from PageSpeed Insights?

It uses the same Google test, then adds the ad tag check and reads the result in plain English. If you want the full Lighthouse report, run the page through PageSpeed Insights directly.

Why is the test slow?

Google loads your page on a simulated mobile connection and measures it, which takes 20 to 40 seconds. Results are cached for an hour, so a second run on the same page is instant.
